About RMR

The Red Mustang Registry (RMR) was founded by Steve Schatten on June 6, 2012, after noticing a lack of representation for red Mustangs at the Carlisle Ford Nationals.  There were other color-specific clubs, but not red.

Red Mustang Registry was created with one goal in mind—to promote any Mustang, any year or model, as long as it is red.  RMR has grown to nearly 12,000 registered Red Mustangs in nearly every state and 16 countries.

In 2024 RMR welcomed a new president, Denise Washburn.  RMR has been given a new life and direction.  What started as a registry has developed into a club, a camaraderie, a family.  RMR now has a shadow group named “Unbridled” for those friends and family with Mustangs of various colors and all have been welcome to join and participate on the registry’s Facebook page. Sunday is Unbridled Day and everyone is allowed to post photos of their Mustangs, regardless of the color. The club remains dedicated to promoting any Mustang of any year or model, provided the car is red.

The group attends several larger Mustang shows around the country and has held multiple shows of its own.   The group maintains a presence with a web page (theredmustangregistry.com) and a private Facebook group.  To join the Red Mustang Registry, follow the link on the web page or Facebook group to the application. Anyone with concerns or questions is able to reach out to the current president, Denise Washburn, via messenger or through email at RMRmadamepresident@outlook.com
